Submission Guidelines

The staff of The North Central Review welcomes art and literary submissions from undergraduate students from around the globe for its annual issue. The Review considers all genres including short fiction, poetry, drama, creative nonfiction, artwork and literary mixed-genre pieces.

To submit literary work, please send your submission as a MS Word or PDF attachment to us at nccreview@noctrl.edu. Please include proof of undergraduate status (.edu e-mail address or photocopied student ID without number) and contact information (name, postal and e-mail addresses, and phone number) on any submission.

We request that you please submit no more than 2 dramatic pieces, 2 prose pieces, 5 poems, and 5 pieces of artwork per production cycle. If you are submitting artwork, files should be 11x17 and no smaller than 300 dpi resolution. We prefer TIF or PNG files, or high quality JPEGs. We do not accept previously published work. We accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us as soon as possible if your work is accepted elsewhere.

If you are submitting work in more than one genre, please send us a separate e-mail for each genre; this facilitates the reading and reviewing process and will allow us to consider your work in a timelier manner.
